IFM welcomes on board a young attacker who landed in Malta yesterday. Previously having played in Australian teams, most recently Rydalmere Lions under the guidance of head coach Tony Basha and the experienced Chris “Camel” Camilleri, Alan was scouted by Andy in his visit to the Genova International School of Soccer (GISS) in Italy. Integrated Football Management has trials lined up for Alan with a few premier youth and division one teams in Malta. Welcome to Malta Alan and best of luck!
After a whirlwind visit to Australia for meetings and club visits Integrated Football Management would like to officially welcome Anthony Bakmaz to the team. He started his football career in Sydney, then played in Croatia before moving to Holland to play most recently in Amsterdam with the Ajax Amateur team.
Ante, you have continued to grow from strength to strength throughout your footballing career and it is our pleasure to work with you and to help take your footballing career to the next level. Welcome on board! #ifmglobal #allfortheloveoffootball #ifm
Another exciting signing for IFM with young attacking midfielder and winger Jacob Walker who joins the team after being identified through our Southern-European scouting network. Coming from youth into the first team at Luxol St. Andrews football club, Jacob played a key role in the clubs fight to stay in the BOV Premier League and was an important member of the clubs senior and minor teams over the 2015-2016 season.
The technical, dynamic and lively Maltese youth international will be travelling to England and Scotland after being invited for trials through the months of June and July. Jacob has already attracted some interest from European clubs and, after completing a successful season is continuing to train daily towards the summer months. Watch this space for future updates. Good luck from all the team at IFM Jacob and welcome on board!
IFM welcomes to the team American Central Defender Jason Gorskie, a season standout for Pietà Hotspurs FC. Jason was scouted throughout the season and was one of the leagues best defenders, only missing one match in the entirety of the 2015/2016 season. The 26 year old footballer has experience playing in America with Penn Quakers, NJ Rangers and Icon FC, as well as in Europe and Scandinavia with Wisla Pulawy and Norvegian team FK Lynn respectively.
”Jason is a fantastic footballer who was a clear stand-out for me this season. His technique, defensive qualities and reading of the game impressed me and I believe that Jason will go on to achieve bigger and better things throughout his career”, said IFM director Andy Drewery.
Jason has been invited to trial at Scottish Championship side Livingston Football Club in June. Welcome to the IFM family Jason!
An action packed weekend of football, conference calls and business meetings with our business partners and local talents came to a conclusion on Sunday with an international friendly match between a very technical and well-drilled Turkish U15 team comfortably defeating an impressive Maltese outfit. Several youngsters were a standout for the Turkish team who played a free flowing and very technical brand of football whilst for Malta one name to mention was young Birkirkara utility player and Maltese fullback Ethan Letheridge – a definite one to watch for the future.
Meanwhile over in Scotland IFM partner and chief scout Darren Walker spent the weekend scouting local Scottish Football Association matches as well as attended meetings with football clubs in the Scottish Premiership, Championship and in Division 1 respectively. Watch this space come the month of June as some of our IFM players embark on trials in several clubs in Scotland.
Luiz has played professionally in Brazil, Latvia and Malta and the next step in his football career pathway is Down Under to play in the NSW National Premier League.
The Brazilian footballer who has a wealth of experience at only 25, has been training and playing locally in Brazil for the past 2 months and is ready to hit the floor running and begin his Australian chapter with immediate effect. Scouted from the echelons of Maltese Football by IFM Director Andy, who was playing with Luiz before he moved up to a division one team where his ability was a stand-out compared to the players around him.
”From the very first game we played together to the final game in Malta, Luiz’s technical ability, composure and reading of the game was second-to-none”,- said Andy Drewery. ”He was ice-cool on the ball, even when under pressure, and kept the game alive. He reminds me a bit of the Brazilian – Diego, with his style of play, vision and adaptability on the pitch. We are expecting some big things from Luiz in Australia, where he will be firmly in the shop window for the bigger clubs within Australian Football and then who knows where the next step will be from there”.
The team at IFM wish Luiz a safe journey to Sydney and a successful start to his season.
After a busy and enjoyable stay with our esteemed business partner Genova International School of Soccer (GISS), our goal keeper Kyle Stuart is currently in Malta keeping fit and training with a local team. Over the 3 weeks at GISS and under the guidance of head coach Dimitri Koltsov and the academy director Morris Pagnielo, Kyle gained experience and valuable game time against Modena, Brescia and Alessandria football clubs.
While in Malta, Kyle is training with Swieqi United as well as utilising his time off the football pitch working closely with IFM director Andy, profiling possible football clubs, finalising trial dates and strategically planning his next project before the summer transfer window. “Kyle is a promising young footballer and a leader on the park with a great personality to match. These attributes will make it easy for him to adapt into a new environment and will also enable him to find his feet very quickly once we find the right club to fit his profile and vice-versa” said Andy. We see a bright future for this young talent, and wish him a pleasant stay on the beautiful island of Malta.
Our office is moving to Vilnius, Lithuania for a week, filled with snow, sun, good company, hard work and of course football. IFM director Andy will have a couple of meetings with potential business partners and team representatives as IFM continues to build bridges in the Baltic region. “We believe it is a key region which links Scandinavia, Eastern and Western Europe, and one that has a diverse talent pool of footballers” – said Andy.
Keep on following our blog for more updates on IFM’s business partnerships in the Baltics; next stop London…

We thought it’s best to start the Sunday morning with a bit of inspiration for our blog and social media followers. A story about a football team, who won promotion to the prestigious and financially fruitful English Premier League (EPL) in 2014, and less than a year later found themselves fighting a relegation battle; through team work, determination and by sticking together they fought what most football enthusiasts thought was a losing battle and defied the odds to cement their place in the English Premier League. This year and with a squad assembled on an estimated budget to be worth around £26m, a manager who encourages his team to play an entertaining and dazzling style of football and a bunch of professionals who find themselves planted on the top of the EPL table.
A great example that shows how far hard work, persistence and determination can take you.
